Quality Control

Importance of Quality Control

Quality Control (QC) is necessary to maintain and enhance product quality so that our customers are guaranteed consistently high quality products at all times.

Hamilton Furnishings has produced a detailed QC Handbook providing comprehensive guidelines and procedures on the inspection of furniture as well as clear visuals and explanations on the identification of defects.

With this handbook, the you will be able to:

  • Differentiate between a defective product that has to be rejected, and a perfect specimen that can be passed on to customers
  • Apply various methods of furniture inspection
  • Identify defects or flaws that need to be corrected before the furniture is sold
  • Know how to look for the different defects or flaws
  • Locate where to look for these defects or flaws
  • Establish how the defects formed
  • Distinguish between actual defects and those deliberately made by the manufacturer (called distressing) to achieve an antique look

One of Hamilton’s USPs is our parts consistency support. Strict adherence to quality control is what makes this possible.

The QC handbook is available only to registered members logged into our members resource area. Please click here for more information and to register.
